On the evening of 9/30/2022 my wife (Amanda Brown) and I were leaving a house sitting job at Amanda’s parents (Pastor Charlie Denson and Kristi Denson) in Thompson Falls Montana. I was Driving our 1983 Toyota Dolphin motorhome and Amanda was behind me in our 2003 Audi A4. As soon as we backed out of the driveway of 421 Woodland st. and started down the road a police cruiser came unhidden from the alley way behind the the neighbors house and turned on its lights. Stopping us from the the side with his cruiser facing my drivers door. Officer Roy Scott being that police officer comes out to question me stating he “heard something dragging” which is completely false. At the same time the unknown plain clothed man appeared with a flashlight from the field across the street and proceeded to question Amanda in our Audi. Officer Roy Scott then proceeded to tell me I can’t continue due to the motorhome not being registered (which he was never in the rear or front of the motorhome to run the plates) and i stated I had a bill of sale which would make me legal for a three day day period but he also refused that. I was told by Officer Roy Scott to go park the motorhome and not to move it. At that time the plain clothed man with the flashlight walked away from our Audi and jumped into the police car with officer Roy Scott and they drove away. Dumbfounded on what just happened i turned around the motorhome and drove it half a block up and parked back in the driveway. Now the scary question is why was Officer Roy Scott waiting for us when the the TFPD only has one officer on duty at one time and who was the mystery man? I feel like Roy Scott has had us under surveillance for quite some time between himself and his uneducated and misinformed “neighborhood watch” program. this is a complete disregard to my privacy and everyone else living at this address. My wife and I have had numerous problems with Officer Roy Scott since his entrance into the police force into the area in 2017. Starting with him furnishing alcoholic beverages to my 16 year old daughter at his residence in 2017. When confronted on this to this day he avoids the questions and just flexes his badge. For years (2017-2019) Officer Roy Scott (working with the Sanders County Sheriffs office) would pull us over every single time he saw us making sure we knew who had the power. Not really ever having probable cause or finding petty problems for a stop. Upon all of this Amanda and I moved away from the town to escape the blatant harassment (Roy was and is now with the TFPD after being let go from the Sheriffs office) As Amanda’s family still lives in Thompson Falls we would come here every so often to visit but not to stay very long until August of 2022 when we were asked to housesit in town for her parents. Upon arrival in town I noticed Officer Roy Scott circling the block often with his police car and sometimes in his personal car. Of course making us a little uneasy. Then in early September my wife and I were on a walk behind the church where Amanda had grown up and a man came out of his house (now known to be Brian Cole) and told us we were trespassing on private property (not his property but city property) and he called Officer Roy Scott for the complaint. We apologized to the man and proceeded to head back to our car when Officer Roy Scott showed up trying to get me alone and being very confrontational. When i refused his demands he threatened me with jail and tickets and did not stop. Luckily I had a couple that came out of there house to witness and he backed off when i said i needed a lawyer. Roy Scott then brought the accuser Brian Cole to our location and Amanda went to talk with them (which we have video of). the accuser and Roy Scott both being very biased and one-sided eventually telling Amanda she was going to get put in jail if she didn’t stop questioning his authority as Roy made a fake call for back up to intimidate then proceeded to leave with Brian Cole. Officer Roy Scott then (later known to us) went the accusers house and proceeded to give him all of our private information (our full names address ect) The situation was only escalated by Officer Roy Scott I feel to entrap me and get me to break and act up so he could put me in jail. He has a blatant disregard for my personal freedom and rights. He has me on constant surveillance for his own personal issues (being that he is in fact the criminal) And i am always in fear that Officer Roy Scott will trump up some false charges our get some misinformed vigilante citizen to harm me or my family! Officer Roy Scott is now running for Sheriff of Sanders County which concerns me because of his blatant disregard of safety privacy and rights if you don’t fall into his idea of a conforming citizen. He runs investigations off of gossip and heresy and has been known to do off duty stalking in many cases me being just one. Can we stop this menace?
