Public Complaint No. 1664331359 - 816178438

On 4-12-2021 I had called Nampa Police Department to file a report of child abuse after disclosures were made by my youngest son. The officer took the report and told me a Detective would be getting ahold of me to go over more details. That never happened. Nothing came of the case thru Nampa Police Department at that time. After calling nearly a month later to discuss why I hadnt been contacted I was told that it "wasnt in their jurisdiction" and I had to contact the corresponding agency and file a report myself. Which I did thru Payette county on 5-8-2021. Report number for said incident at Nampa Police Department is N21-23518. I called again for a separate report after my eldest son had disclosed abuse on 7-7-2021 after I was advised from their counselor Laura Gayler (or Sander) to speak with him about any abuse he might have experienced by the same perpetrator as my youngest son. Report number for that incident is N21-36925. After multiple Cares Interviews at this point and having had dealt with 3 separate law enforcement agencies on the matter I was advised by Detective Chad Benson and K. Seibel that they would be inactivating the case. Reading through the reports from Nampa Police Department regarding my childrens abuse I am absolutely horrified at how this situation was handled. I am lead to believe that I was gaslighted regarding the situation and I am unsure why Law enforcement would act in such a way. I did everything I could in regards to reaching out to law enforcement for help and was made to look at as if I was "coaching" my children to make these disclosures. I sought counseling for my children and I and for over a year took them faithfully every week. I cut off contact with the people theyd claimed to abuse them and was able to get my custody changed to supervised visits only with my youngest sons father (said perpetrator). Regardless of my efforts I feel that Detective Benson was never passionate about justice and that has put the most sour taste in my mouth in regards to trusting Law enforcement. My children deserve justice, the community deserves to be safe and mothers deserve for their voice and the voices of their children to be heard.
