Forensics Supervisor Jennifer Helms, of the Kissimmee Police Department was untruthful under oath in her statements in a 2019 Whistleblower Retaliation Complaint against the City of Kissimmee launched by one her subordinates, P. Koski. Under oath, Jennifer Helms, in order to make Koski look untruthful regarding her allegations in her Whistleblower complaint that she (Koski) was being denied training, Helms stated that Koski had chosen not to do a free training seminar at FDLE. Facts and emails show that Koski contacted Helms via email in 2019, just prior to Helms being interviewed under oath, about the seminar. Koski told Helms that she had already attended the same seminar less than 10 months prior. Helms in an email replied to Koski that since she already had the seminar, she didn't have to do it again. Helms also untruthfully stated that Koski was denied a crime scene photography class because she did not have "basic photography skills". Helms knew as a supervisor that in Koski's training file that Koski had already taken basic crime scene photography and had done crime scene photography for over 12 years before being cancelled from the class. Summarily, Helms in an official investigation, lied under oath, to discredit Koski and protect the interests of the Kissimmee Police Department. Helms was also untruthful to her entire unit when she stated that she had a "contract" which forbade her from doing rotational on call. Additionally, Helms lied in an official EEOC investigation, which is still pending and will be added to Brady at a future date.
