Statement

Upon arrival at my car after hiking I noticed a parking ticket for not paying, though I had a pass. My name was listed correctly on the ticket. As I drove away back towards the highway a park ranger vehicle turn on its lights and I pulled over. I heard shouting and rolled down my window to see the state park ranger screaming at me to keep my hands out of the vehicle while crouched behind his car with a gun pointed at me. He then made me exit the vehicle, still running with my 10 month old son in the back seat, and back up towards him. He proceeded to handcuff me without any explanation and to feel for weapons on my personhood repeatedly even after I was cuffed and stated I was not armed. The state troopers arrived and asked me my name to which I told them, the state ranger claimed he thought my name was different. The troopers ran my name and then told the ranger to let me go. The state ranger knew my name when he wrote a parking ticket earlier, but then claimed I was a different person when holding me at gunpoint. The state ranger name was Dan Amyot. He was disrespectful, jumpy, and incompetent. I’ve contacted a lawyer and will be fighting the ticket in court
