I was a victim of domestic violence with a visible sign of injury that included a bloody lip. I also requested a restraining order. The female officer denied to act and make an arrest or entertain my wishes to apply for a restraining order. I was put in further danger after her lack of action as required by law in domestic violence situations in NJ. I was later falsely arrested after the aggressor filed a report against me a few hours later. It has been a year since this happened and I am still traumatized by it. I was falsely arrested and then taken to a psych hold.
