On May 30, 2024 Lincoln County District Attorney, Adam "baby hands" Panter filed criminal charges [CM-2024-00112] in the District Court for Lincoln County against sheriff deputy Christopher Hyde. The charges include:
1. OBSTRUCTING AN OFFICER
2. TRESPASSING AFTER BEING FORBIDDEN
Via negotiated plea agreement, Hyde pled "NOLO CONTENDRE" and the court convicted him on both charges.
Five days later [06/04/2024] Christopher Hyde [thru counsel] filed for the records to be expunged [CV-2024-00055]. The expungement case is still pending litigation as of 07/14/2024 with a hearing scheduled for 07/16/2024.
On June 5th, 2024 NEWS9 Reported:
A Lincoln County deputy was stripped of his badge, days after he was found guilty of trespassing and obstructing an officer. The misdemeanor charges stem from an incident last year caught on bodycam video. The sheriff's office confirmed the deputy was terminated Tuesday.
