In the early morning hours of August 30, 2023, Cleveland County Deputy, Vaughn Cannon, was arrested for the shooting death of his wife, Jordan Cannon (also a Cleveland County Sheriff's Deputy).
Officials reported that Vaughn Cannon shot and killed his wife, Jordan, after the two argued shortly after 1:00 am, police arrived just before 2:00 am.
Court records indicate that in 2021, Jordan Cannon, had filed for divorce to end the marriage [2019], but that neither party showed up to court appearances leading to the court dismissing the divorce in 2022.
Vaughn Cannon was booked into the Cleveland County Jail, but news sources report that any charges [none filed as of 9/04/23] will be handled through the Oklahoma County District Attorney's office, who recently came under scrutiny for dismissing murder charges filed by the previous administration against 7 police officers who shot and killed people.
