Statement

Ty Burns participated in the use of force against Ms. Ladonna Paris when he kicked in the door and physically removed Ms. Paris from the bathroom of a Habitat for Humanity Restore in Tulsa. The use of force left Ms. Paris with a chipped tooth, abrasions to her face, injuries to her finger and leg, and severe psychological distress. EMSA medics confirmed that Paris was suffering from a manic episode.

The attached Petition from the Tulsa County Civil Suit, case # CJ-2022-01434 that was removed to Federal court lists Ty Burns as a Defendant, along with Daylan Root, and Ronni Carrocia

According to the petition Burns participated in the following acts:

  • Burns knocked down the door, and all three TPD officers slammed Ms. Paris to the ground without provocation, bloodying her face and chipping her tooth.
  • Burns pulled down Ms. Paris' pants, exposing her buttock, to seize a pack of cigarettes

The attached video shows officer Burns making false statements about how Ms. Paris received her injuries.
