On 07/27/2018, Officer Pitmon made untrue or deceptive statements during his training phase. On 06/27/2018, Officer Pitmon told Sergeant RD he needed to return to Virginia for a civil trial so he could testify as a witness to a traffic fatality; however, earlier the same day, Officer Pitmon told Sergeant AH he had to return to Virginia due to a child custody court case with his ex-wife that he could not miss or reschedule. Officer Pitmon provided a document from an attorney requesting his presence in federal court. On 07/25/2018, Sergeants RD and AH were talking about the court issue and realized Officer Pitmon had told them two diferent stories. Sergeant AH called the attorney's office and was told they could only confirm Officer Pitmon was being represented. The attorney's office did not know anything about a fatality crash or child custody issue. Sergeant RD documented several other incidents where Officer Pitmon had liled to other officers in the department. Officer AP received numerous unsatisfactory marks during his training in the critical and non-critical areas of performance. Sergeant RD documented Officer AP "continuously showed a lack of willingness to conform.
