Statement
I was exiting the premises with my son when officer santos arrived on a random call. I had argued with my brother and his “son” earlier and the matter had been resolved. Officer santos detained me and interviewed my brother whom was armed with a knife which he had used to threatened myself and my son earlier that evening. Alleged victim is on record for using the weapon against my family previously along with assaulting my wife and disabling myself (dislocated shoulder)Officer santos was biased against me because one of the alleged victims looked like him. He was not concerned about the details of the incident and used an inconclusive video to book me for criminal threats and attempting to cause great bodily injury. 3 felonies charged against the actual victim, myself. I have no criminal record and have never been arrested and he had no reason to believe alleged victims were in any fear as he stated in his report that alleged victims were calm and collected when he arrived. He used alleged evidence from an unnamed witness to justify his claim against me. Later in court he lied and used statements made by my 13 year old son of which he interviewed without permission. He also admitted in court that he FAILED to document his arrival as it pertains to the original call. Officer santos also failed to appear at his original court date citing he needed an attorney.(to help corroborate his lies)Officer Santos was fully aware of my injuries sustained by alleged victim after I complained of pain. After arresting me officer santos thought he’d teach me a little lesson for demanding my right as a living man. He purposefully kept me handcuffed in the back of his car for over 3 hours as I laid sweating and writhing in pain as him and his cohorts taunted and humiliated me before taking me to jail for the first time in my life for 5 days over an argument where I was the victim. Barstow police has a history and reputation for violence and harassment of its citizens including murder and false arrests. I believe there is also a racial element as probably 90 percent of Barstow police are Hispanic. I believe they target African Americans. I was also retaliated against later for complaining about officer santos when the police arrived to have my trailer removed from my home without notice.
