Misuse of Department Records
The misuse of department records, which occurs when a police officer accesses or alters department records for purposes other than those for which they were intended. This can include accessing confidential information, altering records to cover up misconduct, or using department records for personal gain. The misuse of department records by police officers can harm the integrity of the police department and undermine public trust in law enforcement.
