Description: In September of 2021, Detective Lopez completed a Fitness for Duty Exam. In October of 2021, Detective Lopez returned to work in a modified duty capacity, with a requirement to abstain from alcohol consumption while employed with the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office. Detective Lopez violated the Fitness for Duty requirement. In lieu of termination, on July 31, 2023, Detective Lopez resigned from the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office as per a settlement agreement.
