Public Complaint No. 1708804226 - 1604264700

810 Vermont Avenue, NW
Washington , District of Columbia 20420

Statement

WHITT abused his authority when he withheld a FOIA request. He only gave a partial request and did not give the full request. This was reported to OAWP and was substantiated on May 8, 2023. OAWP Disclosure 23-PhoenixAZ-21599.

WHITT also abused his authourity when he retaliated against me for protected activities that I engaged in Feb/Mar of 2023. WHITT terminated my employment in May 2023 after learning of the EEO complaints and OAWP disclosures in Mar 2023. WHITT suspended my arrest authority, placed my on administrative leave, directed a subordinate police officer to issue a
USDCVN (09881511) to me for a firearms charge. As a police officer for the department, I was
authorized to have a firearm on federal grounds and WHITT used a policy violation to terminate my employment in May 2023 and to wrongfully charge me with a weapons violation. In July of 2024, the AUSA dismissed all charges with prejudice. My wrongful termination is currently in arbitration with a decision coming in April/May. My EEO complaint is currently awaiting Settlement Conference on March 4, 2024 (EEOC No. 540-2024-00090X).
WHITT also made false statements in a sworn affidavit that was in response to my EEO complaint Case No. 200P-644-2023-150580. See attached WHITT affidavit and my rebuttal to his statements. WHITT also violated my rights when he did his investigation. WHITT completely fails to address my assertions about being denied a lawyer
when I requested one, initially being refused union representation, and not being
informed of my Garrity Rights, Kalkines Rights, or Miranda Rights. These oversights
are of significant concern as they directly impact on my rights during an administrative
investigation and any potential disciplinary and/or criminal proceedings.
