Statement

William C.C. Kemp-Neal, an Assistant District Attorney (ADA) in the Bronx, resigned following allegations that he attempted to meet a 13-year-old boy for sexual purposes. The incident was brought to public attention by a vigilante group called "Dads Against Predators," who confronted Kemp-Neal in a Mount Vernon Target parking lot and filmed the interaction. The video, which went viral, shows Kemp-Neal being accused of attempting to meet the boy, a charge that led to his swift resignation from the Bronx District Attorney's Office just days after the video surfaced.

Despite the gravity of the accusations, Kemp-Neal has not been criminally charged. Authorities are investigating, but the lack of immediate legal action has sparked debates about the efficacy of civilian groups in law enforcement and potential implications for future legal proceedings. Kemp-Neal had been employed by the Bronx DA's office since June 2020, handling cases related to assault, harassment, and child endangerment.
