Statement

Daniel Thomas Giraldi aka "Vegas G," 45, was an assistant district attorney (ADA), in the Ottawa County District Attorney's office from February 2019 to April 20, 2022.

During his time as a prosecutor [under District Attorney Kenny Wright]. In one instance, he dismissed a DUI charge in exchange for sexual favors, federal prosecutors said. The former prosecutor pleaded guilty in U.S. Federal Court in July 2022 to one count of possession of Oxycodone with intent to distribute and four counts of honest services fraud. He was sentenced to 30 months in prison on Wednesday [10/25/2023] for using his position as a prosecutor to offer preferential legal treatment in exchange for sexual acts.

On November 8, 2022, Giraldi filed his affidavit of resignation pending disciplinary proceedings with the Oklahoma Bar Association in SCBD-7361
