Statement

At the end of July 2019 I was detained briefly by Huron County Sheriff's Department for seeking refuge in a vacant house in Huron County where I sustained a gun shot wound to my right shoulder and was severely cut up from my feet to my neck from being chased and shot at by multiple unknown assailants from nearby residences. The deputies seen that I was wounded and called for a EMT to take me to Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Norwalk. From the hospital I was in the ICU unit for a week and a half and was not arrested. I was released on my own accord and proceed to retrieve my vehicle from impound courtesy of the Huron County Sheriffs department. My discovery states that i was to be incarcerated after I was out of ICU in Norwalk. That never happened, I was never arrested for the account. Two months, later I was detained by Ashtabula Police Department for calling 911 for being assaulted on a boat on Lake Erie. I was held by Ashtabula Police Department until Huron County could retrieve me for extradition for an F3 burglary charge for seeking refuge in a vacant house. I had no knowledge that I was being charged with any crimes because I was released from the hospital in Norwalk without any issues. While I was being booked in the Huron County Sheriff's Department I asked to speak with the state police and FBI regarding the matters beforehand that led to my arrest. I was denied speaking with higher authority figures about crimes committed against me prior to being arrested and for the crimes committed in Norwalk against me by local residents. I asked multiple officers and COs that work at the jail to retrieve my phone numbers from my phone before they stuck me in the back and they refuse to give me my phone numbers off my phone but they were allowing others to do that right in front of me. Once I was in the Cell Block they had a kiosk on the wall to communicate with the jailers and other authority figures in the jail. I made multiple reports on the kiosk to speak with the FBI and someone that can help me with what was going on and I was denied assistance. I asked on multiple occasions for my phone numbers off my phone so I can contact my attorney and relatives and friends to let them know what was going on and was denied that for over a month while being detained. I was placed in solitary confinement for a month while being detained with all my legal papers for my attorneys in private contact numbers in my cell. After I was put back in population they jailers had my legal papers and my contacts and would not return them over to me for over a week. Sergeant Shaffer told me that Federal investigators and Huron County local investigators was looking at my paperwork and my contacts. After my legal paperwork was returned to me I had contact information missing out of my personal belongings they apparently made copies of everything that I had. When I went to my first court appearance via video, the prosecutor told the judge that I was from Metamarie Parish, Louisiana and I had an extensive criminal history which was false I never lived in Louisiana or visited Louisiana. Based on this assumption by the prosecutor's office they set my bond at $50,000 in Huron County. After about three months of being incarcerated waiting on a court date I was released on a ankle monitor on pretrial release until my next court date in December of 2019. After I couldn't make it to my court date in December I bakered myself to prevent a warrant for my arrest. I know they notified the public defender's office in Huron County that I was in the hospital and I could not make it to court and they concluded that that was completely fine and they set me up another court date in February 2020. I once again had to Baker myself because I could not make it to court living 3 hours away at the time. I again notified the Huron County Public Defender's office and the circuit Court's office and they said that was fine again. They instructed me to call back in a couple weeks to get another court date that I could attend to. After I called them back to get the court date they told me I had a warrant for my arrest in Huron County and there was nothing they could do because the judge changed his mind and did not notify me. At this time the ankle monitor was deactivated by the Oriana House and was instructed to return the device back to them which I mailed to them. While this was going on I was in a panic and tried to get ahold of the FBI and other federal agencies to assist me with this issue with your on County and they denied me assistance as well. In July of 2020 I was arrested by Sebring Police Department and sent him a honing County and Youngstown at the Justice Center detained for about 3 days until Huron County pick me back up again. While incarcerated from July to Mid November of 2020 in Huron County, I went to court on 3 occasions to get me to plead to F3 felony burglary which I didnt not plead to. I was denied my own hired personal attorney out of Crawford County Ohio which I've used in previous Court appearances on other issues since I lived in Ohio. I was forced to use a public defender out of Huron County his name was David Longo. He did not know any of the facts of my court case or my Discovery so I had to set everything in motion myself and put them on the right track so I didn't get sent to prison for seven to eight years. I also had recordings of attorney Longos office pleading for help and explaining to them what was going on and they never did anything about it or look into it. I was railroaded into taking a plea bargain to get out of jail for three years probation and a mental health evaluation and to take a lesser charge of trespassing in a habitation. Trespassing in a habitation is a F4 felony in Ohio and felony failure to appear which is a F4 felony because the judge changed his mind and did not notify me. About a month before my release I had family members mail my glasses and contacts to me. I never received my glasses which were priced between 6 to $700 they were a pair of fossils. The administration at Huron County said that the glasses never came but my contacts came in the same package in my glasses were mailed in I never received my glasses or compensation for losing my glasses. I also asked for medical treatment for medication that I was taking at the time. I never received any of the medications or any new medications that they provide their at the jail through a therapist I wouldn't see him weekly while I was in jail and I never received any of the medications that I requested but other people around me did receive medications. This caused a lot of mental anguish and suffering because of this denial of medications as well. I am now on 3 years probation in Huron County and have had to pay $750 in probation fees to pay over $2,000 in court costs. I paid the probation fees of $750 and have not paid anything on the court cost because it's not legal in my opinion. They transferred my probation to where I live at in Mahoning County Ohio. I also have a discovery from Huron County as evidence and multiple recordings to the Municipal Courts office and the public defender's office to support my claims and everything that I documented in Huron County Detention Center's kiosks as well.
