Description: Ptl. Wright is alleged to have provided potential confidential police information to a female in which he was directly involved during a call for service regarding an incident in August 2021 while on‐duty as an investigating officer. Given the potential of criminal misconduct, this case was presented to the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office Professional Standards Unit for review and/ or investigation. In a separate incident, while on duty, Ptl. Wright failed to investigate and failed to report a serious hit‐and run motor vehicle crash involving a female acquitance to a supervisor or County Dispatch. Given the circumstances and allegations of potential criminal misconduct, this matter was also presented to the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office Professional Standards Unit. Based on all available information, Ptl. Wright was charged criminally with Obstructing the Administration of Law or Government Function. Ptl. Wright has been suspended without pay pending court action.
