Description: Video surveillance showed Sgt. Irons went through the complainant's mailbox on multiple occasions, while on‐duty, after the complainant advised that they no longer wanted contact with him. On January 22, 2022 a motor vehicle collision involving a suspected drunk driver occurred with one vehicle occupant being transported to the hospital. Video evidence showed that Sgt. Irons was going through the complainant's mailbox while officers had the driver in custody at the police station. Sgt. Irons received a 180 day suspension and 323 days unpaid leave. This matter occurred in 2022 and the final disposition was in 2023.
