Statement
Officer Tucker Ellis of the Pismo Beach Police department has not been upholding his oath to protect and serve the community in which he works. On a daily basis, he tries with all his energy, to make the lives of the homeless citizens in the community, a constant battle and struggle due to his harassment and misconduct. On April 1st, 2024, he showed up just to make his presence very clear to me and my wife when we were stopped by another officer for a traffic stop. Officer Ellis made sure that our car got towed away from the place of where we were stopped. We live in our vehicle and officer Ellis is very aware of this due to the many interactions that we have had with him because of his childish and harassing behavior. We have been doing everything within our power to get our registration taken care of and we had finally managed to pay off all of the fines and fees and the last thing we had to do was get our vehicle smogged. He wasnt even a part of the incident which we originally were pulled over for but when he heard my name come over the radio, he made sure that he was there to make sure that he got to watch as our car was taken away with everything that we owned because of his personal issue that he has with not just myself but also because we are homeless and he doesn't want any homeless people in this area so he made sure that he got to watch our lives get towed away from us after he requested that the first officer who stopped us make sure that we DID NOT DRIVE AWAY IN OUR CAR! Its very clear that he's prejudice against homeless people and he tries to make our lives even harder with his petty and childish actions towards us. The officer who stopped us was going to let us drive away with another warning because I was being cooperative with his requests..until he called Officer Ellis and then we were getting pulled out of the vehicle and told that they were towing my car, all the meanwhile he's watching how emotional we were, with a huge smile on his face! He has written many more tickets and has arrested more than any other officers in that department. He uses his power to bully and intimidate the homeless and makes their lives even more difficult than it already is being homeless. I feel he needs to be reprimanded for his childish behavior like taunting, name calling, sexual remarks towards some of the men that have been harassed by him on his shifts. He is still a child, at the age of 23 being the youngest officer to be hired in California when he was just 21 years old. His immature behavior and actions are clearly obvious because he's still a child. He abuses his power and makes threats to the people and it needs to stop!
