Officer Chase arrived on the scene after I called 911. My fiance was getting emotionally and somewhat physically abusive with me and would not let me leave my residence so I called for help. When Officer Chase arrived his racial bais was evident as he did not believe I lived at the home (I am a multi racial black woman living in a multi million dollar neighborhood). He asked why I was here. He threatened me telling me that I was going to be arrested if I did not accuse my fiancé of hitting me. He said this interaction only ended one way with me or my fiance going to jail. He told me he would have my daughter taken away and yelled at me if I did not give him the evidence he wanted to lock my fiancé away. Then he arrested me as I would not implicate my fiance. He detained me at the station and handcuffed me to a table. He told me I was going to jail and if I did not give him the name of my child he would make sure I never saw her again. He was emotionally abusive and made several threats. Meanwhile my fiance was at the station pleading for me to be let go as I did nothing wrong. I was just a human being who needed help. But instead, I was taken to jail and treated like an animal in a slaughterhouse. A few weeks later the chief of police sent me a letter saying I was never arrested as there was no evidence to support the arrest. I was simply "detained" for questioning. Officer Chase has no compassion, he is a ruthless, unethical, cold hearted, and racially biased. I never had any issues with police before this day, now I understand why people don't call the police for help.
