Emani Dowd Me and my family ran out of gas on the side of the highway In Boone County Indiana…While waiting for progressive insurance to show up with gas the lights on the car went out so we called the local authorities to help us because it was pitch black and staying in the car was very dangerous… A officer named Derek Babcock from thorntown police showed up and after talking with my wife he demanded my identification after that everything got escalated the whole confrontation was caught on body camera to make long story short the Car Got towed that night and I was jailed and had at least 9 charges I have documentation to prove this after having all but one of the charges dropped I am seeking help Our Car was destroyed by Bob’s tow yard on September 6 2022 we found this out in the month of December we never received a traffic ticket or citation and yet was told by Frank Clark Marshal of Thorntown police department that we needed to get it registered with the state of Indiana although it had license plates and registration which he took and said it’s not real he also kept the license plate and registration we showed proof of ownership and had Insurance from Progressive at the time on the 2015 Chevy Equinox which we showed to the tow yard too and my wife has a valid state of Indiana drivers license and we also repeatedly ask for a traffic ticket so we can handle it in court but he said no and that we had to register it the state of Indiana or he will keep our car which is what he did I am currently still fighting this case in Lebanon indiana Court Boone County I have agreed to sign a plea deal on January 9 ,2023 for the charge of resisting arrest and that is false but have no choice at the moment but I need help to get justice if you see the documents and the officers body camera footage which I have you would see how we have had our rights violated especially the right to due process and many more please consider looking into this matter thank you in advance
