Description: Charges stem from an incident in which Sgt Coupe responded to a residence in the borough in October 2022. During the course of this incident, knowledge of multiple warrants on an individual in question came to Sgt Coupe's attention. Not only did Sgt Coupe take no action, nor direct the officers under his supervision to take action, instead he directed them to take no action and made remarks that he was not going to deal with the warrants. All officers left the left the scene without taking appropriate police action. This investigation resulted in the following sustained charges against Sgt Coupe: Neglect of Duty, Failure to Properly Supervise Subordinates, Failure to Take Police Action, Repeated Violations of Rules and Regulations. Sgt Coupe was suspended for 30 days without pay.
